How do I get my controller to work on my computer?
You can play TERA using an Xbox controller, you may be able to use other plug and play controllers, but they are not fully supported.
If you have issues with your controller the following fixes may help you.
Try unplugging your controller. In case there are issues with one of your USB ports, try plugging it back into a different port.
Restarting your computer can resolve many issues, especially those involving third party controllers.
To check that your computer properly is recognizing your controller, you can check it's set up properly in Devices.
- Click on the Search Bar or Start Menu.
- Type Bluetooth & other devices.
- Check to see if your Controller displays correctly.
Many controllers come with additional software, but sometimes this software causes issues while playing TERA.
Try uninstalling any driver software that was installed with your controller. Once you uninstall the software, restart your computer. After the restart Windows should automatically detect your controller and install the necessary software for it to work.
You can also try a clean boot to make sure there are no conflicts with other software on your computer.
Alternatively, if you haven't installed special drivers that come with your controller, try installing them.
Unplug other devices, especially controllers
If you have multiple controllers, such as Razer Nostromo and an Xbox 360 controller, there could be conflicts created between them. Try unplugging the controller you don't want to use and restarting TERA.
