This article is for our legacy TERA launcher. We encourage you to upgrade to our new En Masse launcher to enjoy faster downloads, patching, and a better overall experience. From 22 October 2019 you will need to upgrade to the En Masse Launcher to be able to play TERA.
My TERA launcher doesn't work.
What does Source file was corrupted mean?
Repair stuck at 99%.
Repair time says longer than 7 days.
Insufficient free disk space
If there's not enough disk space for the repair the patch/repair will fail; the Play button won't turn Yellow, and the message in the Blue status bar may say "Source file was corrupted".
If you run into the situation, check with TERA's system requirements to make sure there's enough free space. Patches will not complete until there's enough free disk space. The repair process doesn't re-download the whole game, but it is checking every file for the game, and needs that available space.
Run the launcher as admin
Try running the launcher as admin (right-click launcher and select run as admin).
Repair is stuck at 99%
If the repair is stuck at 99%, meaning it has been at 99% for several minutes, close out of the launcher and open it back up. It should finish after you sign in. In the rare case the patch doesn't finish, you will need to run the repair manually.
The estimated time for repair is very long "Longer than 7 days."
The time predicted to complete can be inaccurate. Repair won't take more than seven days. Please don't panic or exit before it finishes as this can cause problems. The progress time for verify/repair can be unreliable.
Fatal Client Exception: Error FFFF:FFFF
This error can be caused by clicking play before repair has finished. You'll need to close out of the launcher, sign back in and run a repair again.
